With a few hours left for the first day of the Year’s, a lot of us have started thinking about our New Year’s Resolutions. It’s like every year we make resolutions but have trouble sticking to them for the whole year. I get it. It can be difficult committing to something for an entire year. But if it’s something you really want or are serious about, it shouldn’t be that hard. What usually works best is giving yourself a goal. If you set a goal with an end date, then it shouldn’t be that hard to do. So here are some really great New Year’s Resolutions to get you starting 2020 strong!

  1. Eat Healthier : Doesn’t have to mean that you go vegan. But maybe cut down on snacks and sweets. Eat more vegetables. Your body will thank you.
  2. Start a new hobby: Find a new hobby. Whether it’s collecting cards, doing puzzles, reading a book, taking dance classes. Find something you’re passionate about and make it your new hobby.
  3. Go somewhere you’ve never been before: Take you’re car or hop on a bus or plane and go somewhere you’ve never been to before. Life is too short to stay in the same place.
  4. Learn a new language: With today’s new technology and apps, learning a new language has never been easier.
  5. Take a class: It doesn’t have to be a university class, but just something fun online to broaden your knowledge. Whether it’s philosophy, history, social media management. There are so many options! Pick something you like and go for it. And it will boost up your resume for sure!
  6. Keep a one-year journal: Don’t do a novel or even a page. But just a one-sentence journal for a year. It could be something great to look back at the end of the year.
  7. Take a gym/dance class: Take a Zumba class, Yoga, Pilates, spin class, r&b dance… See what your local gym has and get your groove on!
  8. Take a cooking/cocktail class: Learn how to cook authentic Italian food. Or take a mixology class to make all your friends jealous at the next party with your bartending skills!
  9. Volunteer: Whether at a dog shelter or a retirement center, volunteer. You’ll feel great about doing something good for the community.
  10. Go on a roadtrip: Grab your best friend, get a car hit play on your playlist and hit the road! You only live once so have some fun!
