We are right in the middle of a heat wave that shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. What better way to cool off then spending the day at the beach? Many people would think that because we don’t have a shoreline, Montreal doesn’t have many beaches for people to benefit from. However, just because we don’t have a shoreline like other popular cities doesn’t mean we don’t have awesome beaches. In fact, Montreal has tons of amazing beaches in its surroundings for us to enjoy during summertime.

Jean-Doré Beach
This amazing beach located in Parc Jean-Drapeau is a must during the summer. While it does tend to get crowded since it’s only about 10 minutes from downtown, the golden sand and clear water make it one of the best beaches to visit during the summer. With lots of activities for family and friends, Jean-Doré Beach is one of the best beaches in the area if you don’t want to drive too far.

Plage de l’Horloge
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, Plage de l’Horloge is another amazing beach you want to visit during the summer if you don’t want to go too far. While the water is probably not the best if you want to go swimming, the layout is pretty nice. With parasols and blue lounge chairs for you to chill out on, Plage de l’Horloge is the perfect place to go if you want to relax and work on your summer tan.

BeachClub
Probably without a doubt the most popular beach for the younger crowd. Montreal’s beach club has hosted several parties and events. There’s even been a few celebrity showings on occasion. The perfect spot if you want to party like there’s no tomorrow. Drinks are flowing, DJ is playing hard and the crowd is always wild.

Oka Beach
One of the most natural and beautiful beaches in the area. A bit of a drive, but well worth it if you want the true beach experience. Surrounded by nature with lakeside swimming, Oka Beach really has it all to keep you entertained for the day.

Sablon Beach
Outside of the city, but an amazing beach. We’re talking white sand, beautiful clear water, and music to keep you entertainend. Sablon beach is one of the best beaches in the area. Definitely worth checking out this summer.
